ADULT LITERACY PROGRAM
For example, our adult literacy was a blast from the beginning. The people who joined the program did remarkably well over a very short period of time.
There are many testimonies that arose after the four months of classes.
One lady who had an account at the bank usually used the assistance of a friend to deposit or withdraw her money. On one occasion, she went to the bank with the friend. They both picked withdrawal forms. Her friend completed hers and expected to be requested for assistance as usual. Instead the lady requested for the pen and proceeded to complete the form personally. Instead of using ink on the thumb to sign she wrote out her signature. Read More

WATER IS LIFE Project

“This borehole (water well) is the most precious and expensive gift we have ever received.”
These are the words of one of the elders and community leaders in Bombo who lives near the Church. The gift of the water well was received with so much joy and excitement. There have been countless expressions of gratitude towards the Church and the guests from USA (Peninsula Community Church and Align Ministries) for their love and care for our community. Read More

Clothes Project: Bombo Pentecostal has had the honor to bless the community of Bombo in a special way through the giving out of clothes to children.
I first of all would like to extend my appreciation to Toni D’prosperies and specifically her niece 6 years old who donated her savings of five hundred US dollar to buy clothes for Bombo Children. You have touched our children and community in a very unique way. Initially we wanted to buy brand new clothes; but we realize we would only be able to please a few kids. We then went for second hand clothes in very good condition .Read More

Millie donating a Mosquitoe net

frontline of the battle against malaria in Bombo. Our contribution in this battle has placed a smile upon faces and brought a beacon of hope to the community.

With the support of friends from Saddleback Community Church and Peninsula Community Church in USA, we have been able to provide treated mosquito nets to over 700 families in Bombo. The number of registered households in Bombo is 2,513. This is exclusive of the households within the military barracks. Our mosquito net distribution has therefore covered approximately 28% of the registered households within Bombo Town council . Read More

Other Viable Projects
Mushrooms project
There are five ladies in BPC who on their own initiatives have come up with a project of growing mushrooms. They notified me that they are trying to raise money to begin this project.
We informed them that we will look for the funding if they can put their ideas on paper and provided the capital required is not so big.
This might probably provoke some thinking among the people to come up with an idea of what they desire to do.
The beauty of this is it is their own initiative and I believe they will treasure it.
Tailoring Project
We are also trying to raise some money to finish the Sunday school building so that we can run a tailoring training program in it.
In case you want to support these projects do not hesitate to contact us.
